David Newton grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and has traveled extensively throughout the world for business as well as for pleasure.  His passion for fine art painting and travel led him to create Art Escape, an adventure travel company offering master class programs in various fine arts disciplines in exotic locations.

As an artist he finds his inspiration in the eclectic islands of the Caribbean, the lush islands off the coast of Vancouver, the majestic mountains of Colorado, and the rugged New England coast, as well as the electricity of New York City.  He is associated with the Silvermine Guild in New Canaan, Connecticut.
