Liz Lambert "Ophelia's Flowers" |
|
Liz Lambert’s passion for art surfaced at an early age and so did her talent. And thank goodness for that because talent without passion results in work that is lifeless and uninteresting. Liz’s art is vivid and alive and full of joy.
Liz has exhibited her paintings all over the country including in galleries in San Diego, Los Angeles and Chicago and in New York at such venues as the Cork Gallery, Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City. She has won various awards and grants over the years and has studied at the Art Students’ League of New York (later serving on the Board) as well as the University di Bell’Arte, Perugia, Italy. A truly Renaissance Lady, she has taught second grade in Harlem and jazz dance for the Broadway stage at the Manhattan Ballet School. Her paintings may be found in several corporate collections including Palladio Capital Management, Greenwich, CT., Coates International, Ridgewood, NJ, KUPN Television, Las Vegas, NV., Rosenthal & Rosenthal, New York – Los Angeles – Shanghai, and MCA Universal as well as private collections worldwide.
Her premier exhibition at Lady Audrey's Gallery, “Ophelia’s Flowers", is a collection of oils on both linen and paper. Inspired by the imagery presented through the flowers Ophelia gathers, Liz has taken a complete departure from her sophisticated abstracts. She calls these works "scenes" - not exactly landscapes and not exactly abstracts - just a pure, unadulterated, joyful appreciation of nature in the unique, bold, vibrant style which is her signature.
Lady Audrey’s Gallery extends a warm “Welcome to the country, New York City girl...!!!!!”
